ABOUT ME

Ilya Island - Trainer

Kia ora team, I’m Ilya, a personal trainer and climbing coach with 8 years of climbing experience. I specialise in sports performance, injury prevention, and rehabilitation.
Helping people break through plateaus, move better,
and build strength and confidence on and off the wall.

At Crux Performance, training is smart, individual,
and purpose-driven. I focus on high-quality, functional movement and programs that reflect your goals, lifestyle,
and experience. Whether you’re working towards your
next climbing grade or building confidence in the gym.

My coaching combines science-based training with a clear understanding of how the body adapts and performs.
Sessions are challenging but supportive, designed to improve strength, mobility, and long-term progress without taking away from your life outside training. Train smarter, move better,
and keep progressing.
